A black and white of the earlier colour shot. I have condensed the 1000 images down to 358, from the trip to America Del Sur, Patagonia... oh well maybe I will end up with a few nice ones, eh..

This landscape is just incredible. I done think I have ever seen a more dramatic veiw. I bet it was a hard hike!
Not really, the track on this side of the mountains goes around in front of the mountains. I am at about 100m above sea level and am several kilometres from the mountains. The mountains are about 2300m above sea level.

Images of places that are reached on foot... well then I guess that is everywhere.. but mostly where notsovery many go.
I love both versions of this scene. I don't think I've ever fav'd two versions of the same scene before. ;) You did a great job converting this. Plenty of rich blacks and lots of detailed whites and everything in between.
thank you..

This looks very Ansel Adams. Great shot!

Heh, I assume you're being ironic, which is very funny; but there's always that chance, so just in case....

If you can't do something well, enjoy doing it poorly
100-400L Canon lenses with a 5D, with a tripod, because it was windy I was tucked behind a low shrub.
